Home Health Aide-It takes only three weeks to complete training for home health aides. Once you are a certified HHA, you will be able to find work helping the elderly or people who are physically disabled, terminally ill, or otherwise unable to care for themselves. That is a gratifying job that can mean a difference between a person being able to live at home or be transferred to a long-term care facility. Personal Care Aide-Home health and personal care aides monitor people with disabilities or chronic illnesses and help them with daily living activities. PCAs work in a variety of settings, primarily in client’s homes. They can choose between working full time or part-time.


HHAs and PCAs typically need a high school diploma or equivalent. However, they can get training in just a few weeks, and after being certified in the caregiving field, home health agencies can provide them with a job offer.
Overall employment of home health and personal care aides is projected to grow 34 percent from 2019 to 2029, much faster than the average for all occupations.
